Cavalry archer armor.The leather bands and "scales" are put over each other to enable maximum movability and it protects the shoulder while drawing out the bow. It has a chain underpadding between the hardened scales and the thick cloth. (the female version has no chain!) The armor - in gaming language - does not slow you down and has no "armor check penalty". It is not enchated and has no magical powers, and cannot protect you like any other plate armor, but you cannot ride a horse in any other armor freely.
